What Is A Microbrewery?

A microbrewery is a brewery that produces less than 15,000 barrels of beer annually, serving 25% of its beer onsite, with 75% or more of it’s beer served off-site. Unofficially, it’s what most people refer to when they are speaking about craft beer. Since microbreweries are much smaller than a "regular" brewery, microbreweries have the liberty of taking time to “craft” various flavors and types of beer, that a larger brewer cannot take on due to efficiencies, expense and ROI ratios.
