What Is A Regional Craft Brewery?
Regional craft breweries are defined by an annual production of between 15,000 and 6,000,000 barrels of beer. To qualify, these independent breweries must have an all malt flagship brew or have at least 50% of their volume in either all malt beers or in beers that use unmalted fermentable carbohydrates to enhance a beer’s flavor. Examples of a Regional Craft Brewery you may be familiar with include: Stone Brewing Company, New Belgium Brewing Company, and Sierra Nevada Brewing Company.
